Allure Lens – Chrome Extension
Allure Lens is a browser extension that analyzes Allure test reports (both Allure 2 and Allure 3) directly in Chrome's side panel — showing durations, flaky tests, a failure checklist with rerun markers, and snapshot history comparison. It operates entirely within the user's browser and does not transmit any data to external servers controlled by the extension developer. This privacy policy explains what data is accessed, how it is used, and how it is stored.
Allure Lens does not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) such as names, email addresses, or device identifiers. The extension does not require account creation or login. No analytics, tracking, or telemetry data is collected.
The extension accesses and processes the following data during normal operation:
data/suites.json and each failed case's data/test-cases/{uid}.json; for Allure 3, widgets/tree.json and each failed case's data/test-results/{id}.json. This includes test names, suite paths, statuses, durations, flaky flags, and failure messages. These requests go directly to the report host you are viewing and the parsed results are held in memory and cached locally for analysis.Book_B_C/WAP/105) for labelling. No data is routed through any intermediary or developer-controlled server.Allure Lens does not integrate with any third-party APIs, analytics services, or external servers controlled by the extension developer. The only network requests made by the extension are to the report host you are viewing, to read that report's own data files — the same server your browser already communicates with to display the report.
The side panel includes an optional "Buy me a coffee" support button. It is a plain link that, only when you click it, opens a third-party payment page (PayPal) in a new browser tab. No personal data is sent by the extension when the link is opened; any information you choose to provide on that page is handled by that third party under its own privacy policy.
chrome.storage.local API.All persisted data is stored locally on the user's device using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API and is not accessible to other extensions or websites. Network requests to report hosts use the same connection security (HTTPS where the site uses it) as the original page. No data is stored on any external server controlled by the extension developer.
The extension does not sell, share, or transfer user data to any third party. No data leaves the user's browser except for direct requests to the report host serving the report you are viewing, and — only if you click the optional "Buy me a coffee" button — navigation to a third-party payment page in a new tab. Any exported text (rerun markers, chat summaries, comparison summaries) is placed on your clipboard only when you explicitly trigger a Copy action, and it is up to you where you paste it.
The extension requests the following browser permissions:
https://*/*, http://*/*): Not granted by default. The extension requests access to a specific report domain only when you add it in the Domains settings and approve Chrome's permission prompt. This access is used solely to read that host's Allure report data files, and you can remove any granted domain at any time from the settings. For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the legal basis for any processing of data is legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), specifically to provide the core functionality of the extension. Since no personal data is collected, stored, or transmitted to the developer, data subject rights — including access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), and data portability (Art. 20) — are inherently fulfilled, as all data remains under your control on your own device. If you have questions about your data rights, please contact us using the information below.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion. Allure Lens does not collect, sell, or share any personal information as defined by the CCPA. Because no personal information is processed by the developer, there is no data to disclose, delete, or opt out of.
Allure Lens does not track users in any way and therefore does not need to respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals. No analytics, advertising, or tracking mechanisms are used.
This extension is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect any data from children.
